Five Spring & Summer Trends for the Professional Woman

five trends for spring and summer

Spring has officially arrived, although you wouldn't really know it by looking at the weather forecast in Washington, DC. Looking ahead to warmer weather, below is a list of trends you'll be seeing more of over the next several of months. I will be releasing the ME Spring and Summer collection in May!

Leopard // Leopard is not a new trend, but it's typically been reserved for the cooler temperatures. As you may know, I'm obsessed with all things leopard print, so I'm excited to see that it is becoming a warm weather favorite as well. Leopard has the unique ability to serve as both a pattern and a neutral. New to pattern mixing? Stripes and leopard are always a winning combination! Shop the textured sheath dress here.

Texture // Swiss dot has been a Summer favorite for years, but this year expect to see more jacquard and brocades (like this one).

Patterned Bags & Clutches // Clutches are an easy, affordable way to add color or pattern to an outfit. And now, they're on-trend.

Stripes // Stripes aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Expect to see striped tops, shirt dresses, and skirts. Striped poplin or shirting makes for a great summer fabric as it's lightweight and breathable. If you're looking for the perfect striped transitional piece, check out our striped shift dress here.

Black // Blush and navy remain at the top of the list for must have colors this Spring and Summer, but black is becoming more popular as well.

Which trend are you most excited about?
